Controlling hope
You can't control anything in life, although when we step on grass does it not respond to our force?
No matter what you are given in life, and no matter what you may want out of life, the one thing that can truly make a difference is the hope you have. When you fight for a cause, it is hope that lets you progress. When you look for love, it is hope that lets you find something special. When you make a hard choice, it is hope that reassures you it is for the better.
Since hope seems to be some sort of superpower, can you hope to be a millionaire? It's more complicated than that for sure. Hope comes from optimism and is held onto with confidence. Without optimism, hope is merely an idea. Without confidence, hope is just a wish.
Ask yourself what your hope means to you, why do you hope, how do you hope?
